Overview
Nested Spirawave® springs are multi-turn, flat-wire Wave Springs coiled in parallel to produce high forces within a compact design. As the number of turns increases, force increases proportionally, making Nested Spirawave springs an ideal solution for applications requiring high loads and low travel in tight axial spaces.
When higher forces are required, there is no need to stack multiple Belleville washers or Single-Turn Wave Springs to achieve the desired load. Nested Spirawave springs provide a purpose-built, one-component solution that helps eliminate misalignment and uneven loading issues while simplifying assembly. Their sturdy, tangle-resistant design also makes them well suited for automated handling and high-volume production.

Nested Spirawave® Wave Springs are an effective solution for heavy-duty bearing preload applications. Their high-force design delivers the substantial preload necessary to help eliminate bearing play while reducing noise and vibration. Proper preload also helps protect assemblies from vibration-related damage and premature wear.
Bayonet-style low-voltage connectors rely on preload as the male component rotates and follows the groove contour of the female component. Nested Spirawave® Wave Springs provide the preload force between the two halves while generating the higher loads required in very tight axial spaces.
