The Marvel Universe is a massive, interconnected fictional world where superheroes, villains, aliens, gods, and ordinary people coexist. It includes characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk, alongside teams such as the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Their adventures range from stopping neighbourhood crime to protecting entire galaxies, and their stories frequently overlap.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the connected movie-and-TV version, based on—but separate from—the comics. It began with Iron Man in 2008 and gradually brought individual heroes together as the Avengers. Its first major overarching story, the Infinity Saga, centres on the heroes’ battles against increasingly powerful threats, ultimately including Thanos, who seeks six Infinity Stones to wipe out half of all life in the universe.

The next major storyline, the Multiverse Saga, explores alternate realities and timelines, where different versions of familiar characters can exist—and where crossing between universes creates new dangers.
